Diamond Nutriceutical Attends NPA Fly in Day 2026

On Tuesday May 12, 2026, Diamond Nutriceutical attended the Natural Products Association’s Fly in Day, which brought 130 participants from across the country to meet with our elected officials to discuss issues that impact businesses, consumers, and the future of health and wellness in America. As long time members of NPA, we were proud to be among these 130 participants. This year also marks the 90th anniversary of the Natural Products Association which was founded in 1936.

Diamond Nutriceutical attends this event because we want to be part of and advance conversations on regulations that support consumer safety and product transparency. This directly affects the products we make and our customers’ access to them.

Additionally, going in person allows us to be a resource when the government needs expertise and input on regulations could benefit or hurt citizens.

Key Issues from NPA Fly in Day 2026

Freedom to Use HSA/FSA funds on Dietary Supplements

Currently, individuals with an HSA (health savings account) or FSA (flexible spending account) are not able to use these funds to purchase dietary supplements. That is without their physician writing a note. People absolutely should have freedom to spend their health funds on dietary supplements as a part of their health goals and strategy. The current system just creates costs and burdens for people in an already challenging healthcare environment.

Additionally, people are already free to use HSA funds on items like sunblock or workout equipment. So allowing people to use these funds on dietary supplements would make the regulations in place more consistent.

Support for House Resolution 7366

Individual states are passing regulations for who can access specific supplements. This results in a patchwork of different regulations with three main problems.

  1. It can be difficult or impossible for any company to comply.
  2. State-by-State prohibition of individual supplements means different availability of products
  3. Confusion as to whether entities are under the authority of the FDA or a state body with different standards.

The best approach for ALL parties is for the federal government to pre-empt state regulations to enforce uniform standards across the entire country under the authority of the FDA.

We’re asking Congress to consider supporting HR 7366, The Dietary Supplement Uniformity Act. This will ensure the FDA’s authority, as established in 1994 via DSHEA, still stands. As it is, the FDA already has full authority to regulate supplement companies such as requiring registration, conducting audits where they can collect samples, labels and any other manufacturing information. Having state-specific legislation on top will be redundant and expensive.

Overall, HR7366 is a step towards freedom, supply-chain efficiency and regulatory consistency.

Events like Fly-In Day demonstrate the power of direct advocacy. When constituents and business leaders share their experiences, lawmakers gain a deeper understanding of how legislation affects real companies, employees, and consumers; from compliance to health and wellness.

As the 119th Congress considers new initiatives and challenges, NPA and its members continue to provide knowledgeable, thoughtful, and persuasive input to key decision-makers. Diamond Nutriceutical is honored to be part of this collective effort and remains committed to supporting policies that advance product quality and wellness for all Americans.
